PayPal is a global digital commerce business allowing payments and money transfers to be made through the internet. Online money transfers serve as electronic alternatives to paying when compared to traditional methods such as credit/debit cards, checks and money orders.
challenge
PayPal wanted to enable purchasers to digitally activate and add additional cash to their store debit cards. The application had to fully integrate into the PayPal site and was required to adhere to PayPal's enhanced security requirements.
solution
The development team was comprised of consultants located in Eagle Creek's Pierre, South Dakota Technology Center. The engagement was ten weeks in length, incorporated an Agile Development Methodology, and included the following technologies: HTML5, JavaScript, Alfresco, VM Ware, Subversion, Apache Tomcat, Putty and CSS. This project was originally scheduled for two phases but was successfully completed in a single phase.
